David Bergum and Doni Dennis form sales and marketing agency, announce partnership with Vesdia, the nation's leading microinvesting resource.

David Bergum, formerly Vice President of Merchant Partnerships and Business Development at National Scrip Center (NSC), and Donita Dennis, formerly Director of Marketing at NSC, announced today the launch of their new sales and marketing agency, called David Bergum and Associates (DBA).

DBA will identify, develop and maintain strategic partnerships across multiple channels to the benefit of the manufacturer, retailer, and end customer. “The incentive and affinity markets are still young and exponentially growing businesses. They are moving at such a fast pace that it’s hard for anyone who isn’t living this space 24/7 to keep up on all the opportunities in the market,” states David Bergum, President of DBA. “Our goal is akin to that of matchmaker. We’ll seek out appropriate channels for merchants and vice versa to develop successful and symbiotic relationships, growing the respective businesses and power of their brands.”

DBA’s first strategic partner is Atlanta-based Vesdia Corporation. Vesdia recently acquired National Scrip Center’s CardScrip program, a credit card based affinity program similar to airlines’ mileage rewards. “We see this relationship as a significant opportunity to help Vesdia further assert their leadership position in the loyalty marketing arena,” says David Bergum. ”Those merchants who are part of the CardScrip already know how these types of programs can build brand loyalty and drive incremental sales. Now, working with Vesdia, we intend to help them take CardScrip to the next level.”

Traditionally through Vesdia’s program, shopping rebates are funneled into cardholders’ college or retirement savings programs through their “BabyMint” and “NestEggz” branded products, as well as through various private label programs. “With each purchase, merchants are associated with a very personal and positive transaction,” says Donita Dennis, EVP, Marketing and Business Development for DBA.
