Name That Service! Calling All Verbally Inventive Business Minds for a Naming Contest

Eric “The Rocket” Rosen has three levels of service for his speedy copywriting service: right now, they’re prosaically named “fast,” “faster” and “fastest.” He’s looking for a set of names that make the three levels of service creatively irresistible, through a naming contest sponsored by the Massachusetts-based naming company Named At Last (www.namedatlast.com). The prize is $100, and entries may be made through July 31, 2006.

“I’m looking for fresh, metaphorical triads that fit with the themes at our web site – something other than the silver/gold/platinum trio, which has become a cliché,” says Eric Rosen, whose service delivers written or rewritten press releases, sales material, web copy and other kinds of business documents in 72, 48 or 24 hours (
www.clearcrisp.com). “Something snappy and amusing would dramatize how rapid our overnight copywriting service is and make it even more appealing.”

Previous Named At Last writing contests challenged wordsmiths to come up with a name for a web design company, a tag line for a family law attorney and a name for a style of Native American-inspired music. These contests also succeeded so well in functioning as a talent search for recruiting paid professional namers for the Named At Last business naming company that Marcia Yudkin, “Head Stork” of the firm, plans to continue running naming contests throughout 2006 and 2007.

For a discussion of top entries for previous Named At Last naming contests, see the link from the box headed “Previous Contest Results” on
http://www.namedatlast.com/contest.htm. Details about the Eric Rosen naming challenge, as well as the entry form, can be found at http://www.namedatlast.com/contest.htm. Namers may enter as many name candidates as they like.

Named At Last (
www.namedatlast.com), founded in 2005, brainstorms new company names, new product names, tag lines and more for cost-conscious organizations.
