The RGU Group Recognized By Small Business Association
The Small Business Association (SBA) recognized The RGU Group for the firm’s expansion as a result of the Jobs and Growth Tax Reconciliation Act of 2003, at a news conference held on March 25 at The RGU Group headquarters in Tempe, AZ. The Act, established by President George W. Bush, cut taxes for America’s small business owners by an average of $3000 and quadrupled the deductibility of equipment expensing. As a part of the Act, The RGU Group utilized a SBA 7(a) loan for inventory acquisition and working capital as well as a 504 loan to construct a new office and warehouse.
“Smaller tax bills have meant more money to invest back into my business,” said Todd Atkins, Principle of The RGU Group. “I am now able to invest in new space, new technology, and new employees.”
The RGU Group, established in 1992 by Atkins, is a souvenir and gift firm offering a range of products, from regional books to plush animals. The Act has enabled the company to expand their design team and build a strong sales and customer service group to establish and maintain successful business relationships. A new 22,000 square foot facility was completed in 2003, allowing for further expansion. For more information, call (480) 736 9862 or visit their website at www.theRGUgroup.com.
