The use of the Internet has become an important tool for the real estate industry. Approximately 4 in 10 buyers now use the Internet to shop for their next home, nearly a 18-fold increase in only four years according to National Association of Realtors (NAR).
Michael DeMoya of RE/MAX Unique Realty is credited for taking several existing technologies and combining them to produce a more comprehensive and private viewing of a particular property and the surrounding area. Business card-sized CD ROMs are also produced with each Home Website, allowing for local distribution and play back on any PC computer or laptop. According to NAR, 77% of homebuyers consider detailed property information "extremely valuable," also 67% of homebuyers believe using the Internet saves them time in their home search.
"I created this type of website to be able to present my customers' property in an elegant and informative manner to the public." said Michael DeMoya. "Using the address for the domain name is an added feature that allows the general public to locate the property quickly, without surfing through several websites to find limited information or pictures. I believe these particular Home Websites set a new bench mark for how real estate properties are marketed utilizing the Internet."
Mr. DeMoya intends to offer this product to the for-sale-by-owner market in the coming weeks.
