Leading Desktop Interface Solution 'WinSpace' Enterprise Version Released

TriPlus Technologies, the developer of the world's leading desktop management utility for Windows has announced the release of a new feature-rich enterprise version of its popular user interface software. Developed by an international programming team, WinSpace version 3.5 offers managers advanced application integration capabilities using a new flexible architecture based on .NET and XML standards. To further improve user experience and maximize productivity, WinSpace is now certified on the Windows XP platform in addition to Windows 2000 and NT. The new WinSpace platform is ideally suited for today's enterprise environment with multiple operating systems, remote data access challenges, and a sophisticated workforce with diverse interface requirements.

"The release of the WinSpace v. 3.5 platform is a big step forward in terms of the role user interface software can play in the landscape of the connected enterprise," said TriPlus President, Michael Probstel."Through input from our customers, many of which operate globally with thousands of desktops to manage, we determined that WinSpace could serve as a key component for the efficient integration of disparate applications, remote desktop configuration and centrally managed task planning and execution. TriPlus offers these advanced capabilities as separate modules that can be plugged into WinSpace. CIOs, business and IT managers can pick and choose just those features that support their productivity enhancement initiatives," Mr. Probstel said.

Typical of WinSpace usage by a large organization is the deployment by KBC Financial Products, headquartered in Brussels, Belgium. KBC recently completed a global rollout of TriPlus WinSpace 3 across the organization's offices in London and New York. "WinSpace provided us with the ability to integrate multiple application windows in a heterogeneous environment with services hosted on a Unix server and various client-level Windows applications," said Alan Kelly, Manager of Technology Services for the financial products conglomerate. "We were eager to benefit from the advanced features that WinSpace offered us as a centralized systems management component."

"The new WinSpace platform design is the result of several years of research effort to leverage new trends that are dramatically changing organizational use of software technologies," said TriPlus CTO, Anand Ramachandran. "Companies have invested millions into software systems over the last decade. They're now realizing that the individual in front of the screen has become a bottleneck, unable to access and process all those applications efficiently. The new WinSpace platform lets these companies build interfaces more in line with the actual daily business tasks people perform, resulting in significant efficiency gains."

WinSpace 3.5 Feature Highlights:

Windows XP certification
Architecture changes to support .NET and XML for easier integration to other applications
Built-in debugging and monitoring of desktop activity
Additional features to support distinct workspaces
SDK to support the development of custom interfaces using WinSpace' features
Improved stability and performance
