Maryland Company announces formation of Platinum H2O™ Bottled Water Subsidiary
The Jones Company, L.L.C., a Baltimore, MD based, minority owned business consulting and government affairs firm announces the creation of a subsidiary named Platinum Ventures H2O™. The new business unit, Platinum Ventures H2O,™ will oversee the sales and marketing of the Company’s private labeled bottled water product known as Platinum H2O™. Platinum Ventures H2O™ already has agreements with Good Hydration™ (www.goodhydration.com), a 2003 honoree in the non-carbonated, bottled water category at the Berkeley Springs International Water Tasting Awards, as well as RMR Sourcing Specialists, Steadfast Transportation, LLC, Enigma Graphics, and Tangible Solutions, Inc. to facilitate the distribution of Platinum H2O™ bottled water and related merchandise (e.g., t-shirts, sportswear, jackets, bags, and caps, etc.) to Urban America, as well as certain African and Caribbean countries.
According to Leroy Jones, Jr., Chairman and co-founder of Platinum Ventures H2O™, “Platinum Ventures H2O's fundamental goal is to provide a healthy drink alternative to the seemingly endless variety of dehydrating alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages, which presently are being marketed in Urban America. As businessmen and concerned fathers of young children, Rawle and I just did not feel we could sit on the sidelines any longer while others peddle sugar water and syrup, among other things, to our youth.” In addition to B2B sales and marketing information, Platinum Ventures H2O™ also plans to use its website (www.platinumh2o.com) to provide health care data to its customers and affiliates, including information concerning illnesses that are prevalent in America’s inner cities (e.g., high blood pressure, diabetes, prostate cancer, and sickle cell anemia), and ways that the regular consumption of water may assist in the prevention or treatment of these illnesses.
“When customers visit our website in the very near future, it will be understood that we are interested in nourishing their hearts and minds, as well as their bodies by serving as a reservoir of vital health care data that too often is lacking or otherwise being ignored in Urban America. We hope to bridge the gap between our customers, particularly African American and Latin American men aged 18-49, and health care professionals by providing much needed information, and promoting regular medical examinations and screenings,” said Rawle Andrews Jr., President and co-founder of Platinum Ventures H2O™. According to Andrews, Platinum Ventures H2O™ also has entered into discussions with certain physicians, social scientists and nutritionists to facilitate the online publication of patient-centered articles, statistics and other documents addressing health care and behavioral conditions in Urban America |
