Author faces unexpected backlash from a sales training book.

A door to door salesman's newly released book on the subject, is quickly becoming an Amazon best seller, but not without controversy.

Mr William J Montgomery, a former door to door salesman from Britain and author of newly published "Keep It Simple, Stupid" (Secrets of face to face selling) is set to become a best seller. Having already topped the Amazon charts in both the UK & Canada, sending well known authors including Zig Ziglar & Tom Hopkins down the ranks.

Overall ranking in the UK has reached an amazing 344 and an outstanding 224 in Canada(Number 1 in it's genre in sales/selling techniques)

Following the "Do not call" legislation in the USA, there has been a resurgence of the good old fashioned door to door salesman and Mr Montgomery's Amazon.com rank has leaped from an initial 2.8 million to 1.1 million in a short period of time as a result - and all this without any advertising, 'paid placements, or publicity.

Reviews on Amazon sites have been mixed and the book is actually upsetting some people, who call the authors techniques, Manipulative, Deceitful, even Unethical. The author himself has even received e-mailed complaints from readers who where shocked at the highly effective selling techniques he exposes.

So shocked where some members of the general public who visited his website and read excerpts of his book, Mr Montgomery decided to remove them from 'public' view altogether.

"The truth hurts", said Mr Montgomery from his home in Canada. "Some people dont realise just how manipulated they are in everyday life and when they find out, they are naturally shocked"

"It isn't just sales people who manipulate / exploit certain aspects of human behaviour to their own selling advantage, everyone does it..including your local supermarket"
