Carroll Beach Affiliates with Leading Overdraft Vendor Floyd & Associates
HOUSTON, TX . August 5, 2004 -- Carroll Beach, who retired three years ago after 30 years as president/CEO of the Colorado Credit Union System, has contracted with John M. Floyd & Associates (JMFA) of Houston to formalize his advisory and consultative capacity with the firm.
JMFA, a profitability consulting firm to depository institutions, has established nearly 700 overdraft privilege programs at banks, thrifts and credit unions nationwide. CEO John M. Floyd called the expanded affiliation “a true win-win arrangement that will increase Carroll’s involvement in our success.”
“I’m delighted to be associated with a firm which enjoys such wide recognition and endorsements within the credit union system,” said Beach, who will continue as president and CEO of Beach Resource Group/Credit Union Service Corporation, based in Duluth, GA.
“JMFA is known nationally for its training, incentive and earnings enhancement programs, as well as its product, CRM, pricing and technology improvement consulting services. Its JMFA OVERDRAFT PRIVILEGESM provides a service desired by many consumers,” he stated.
As the President of the Colorado CU System, Beach was responsible for the executive leadership of the Colorado Credit Union League, its subsidiaries and related organizations -- Colleague Services Corporation, CU Service Network of Colorado Inc. and the Wyoming Credit Union League. During his tenure, he also was president of the Credit Union Legislative Action Committee, Colorado Credit Union Foundation, Credit Union Family Insurance Services and Credit Union Advantage Automotive.
For several years Beach was CEO of SunCorp Corporate Credit Union. He has been a member of various Credit Union National Association (CUNA) committees and has served on its Board of Directors and Executive Committee. He also served on the CUNA Mutual Advisory Committee and The Credit Union Service Corporation Board of which he was chairman for four years. Most recently, he served as chairman of the board of the Credit Union House LLC.
Beach, who earned a bachelor’s degree from the University of Kansas and a master’s from Emporia State University, also served as Chairman of U.S. Central Credit Union and on many committees of the Association of American Credit Union Leagues (AACUL). He received the AACUL’s “Eagle Award,” that group’s highest member award, as well as the “Herb Wegner Lifetime Achievement Award,” perhaps the most recognized award in the credit union industry.
