Ten Asset Management Launches Small Cap Value Strategy
San Diego, CA April 11, 2005 – Ten Asset Management, a California-based independent investment management firm founded in 2004, announced today the opening of its Small Cap Value strategy for outside investors. Ten Asset Management focuses on adding value to U.S. domestic stock portfolios by employing quantitative techniques in a relative value approach. Ten's Small Cap Value strategy exceeded the Russell 2000 Value benchmark by 1.7% in the first quarter.
Ten's portfolio management team has drawn on their experience in successfully managing quantitative strategies at their previous firm, Freeman Associates Investment Management, to create an enhanced quantitative process for the small cap value product. Testing of the enhancements show significant performance results for the past five years. In addition, these enhancements have already been included in the other portfolios Ten is managing with the same performance improvements. Ten's portfolio management team contributed to top decile Small/Mid Value results for the past three years and top quintile Large Cap Value results as measured by Nelson's Investment Research.
Ten Asset Management's strategies are designed to provide institutional investors with significantly above average returns with a mid to long term horizon. The six products being offered are: Small Cap Value, Small/Mid Cap Value, Mid Cap Value, Large Cap Value, Enhanced Indexed Strategies, and Long/Short Market Neutral, all in separately managed accounts.
