Retirement Savings, Labor Shortage Debate, Broker Investigations and Outsourcing

Capitola, CA  April 21, 2005 -- HRmarketer.com, the no. 1 online marketing and PR service in the human capital industry, released its April HRintelligence Trend Report identifying the companies and topics receiving the most media attention in the month of March, as well as the top advertisers and the overall health of the human capital marketplace.

The April 2005 Trend Report identified the top advertisers in the human capital marketplace as ADP, Aetna, American Background, Great West Healthcare, Hewitt Associates, Kenexa, Mellon Financial Corp, MetLife, SHRM, Spectrum, T. Rowe Price and Ultimate Software. Consistent with previous reports, HRintelligence data shows no correlation between advertising placements and media coverage.

According to the report, companies receiving the most media attention in the human resource industry included Aon, Ceridian, Convergys, Exult, Fidelity, Hewitt Associates, IBM, Mellon Financial Corp, Mercer Human Resource Consulting, PricewaterhouseCoopers, Segal, Towers Perrin, Watson Wyatt and Wharton School of Business. Significantly, Watson Wyatt and Hewitt Associates had more than twice the media coverage than any other company listed.

Editorial topics receiving the most attention during March included outsourcing, the uninsured, broker investigations, the labor shortage, saving for retirement, and HR’s vital role in business success.

According to the latest HRintelligence Trend Report, the HR industry's health in March received a “good” rating, downgraded from “great” in the previous month. This unscientific measurement looks at the aggregate number of advertising placements across the major HR trades, stock prices of HR companies, and analysis of other activity including investment money flowing into the space, IPOs, M&A, and more. The company then assigns a rating based on a 5-point scale of Excellent, Great, Good, Average or Poor.

“We are thrilled at the amount of reader interest in our new
HRintelligence reports, which we believe is a direct result of the growing awareness of the human capital marketplace, and the recognition of HR’s strategic role in business success,” says Mark Willaman, president of HRmarketer.com. “We are also excited that a majority of top companies receiving editorial coverage in the HR space use HRmarketer.com as an integral part of their marketing and PR initiatives.”

While subscribers to HRmarketer.com have full access to HRintelligence data, the monthly reports are free to anyone who signs up for the HRintelligence eNewsletter at
