Ceridian to Host More Than 850 HR, Payroll And Benefits Professionals at Annual Customer Conference
MINNEAPOLIS July 8, 2005 -- Today Ceridian, a leader in managed human resource outsourcing solutions that maximize the value of people (http://www.myceridian.com), reported that more than 850 top HR professionals will attend its 18th annual customer conference, INSIGHTS 2005. This year’s event will be held July 10–14 in Las Vegas.
Attendees will be hosted by Ceridian employees at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center and have the opportunity to participate in comprehensive product training sessions, computer labs, and up-close product demonstrations; legislative updates from Washington D.C. to help keep companies up-to-date, compliant and knowledgeable; and personal and professional development sessions designed to motivate, inspire and encourage participants to be their very best.
Built-in accreditation elements also help attendees advance their careers. Ceridian INSIGHTS 2005 will offer more than 190 sessions across tracks that include human resources, payroll, benefits and management/executive topics. Participants can earn 1.8 continuing education (CEU) credits toward recertification for the American Payroll Association's Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) and Fundamental Payroll Certification (FPC) designations and/or currency credits from the American Compensation Association. The event has also been approved for 20.5 recertification credit hours toward Professional in Human Resources and Senior Professional in Human Resources recertification through the Human Resource Certification Institute.

This year, the human resource outsourcing company will also introduce an opportunity for attendees to earn a diploma through Ceridian University. Launched in 2004, Ceridian University is a comprehensive program that provides Ceridian product certification for employees and customers, and offers access to preparation materials for industry certifications. A blended-learning environment, Ceridian University offers courses in a variety of formats including Web-based, distance learning, self-study and classroom training. By attending nine sessions (six required and three electives) at INSIGHTS 2005, attendees can earn a diploma in payroll administration, HR/benefits administration, systems technology, reporting administration or advanced reporting.
INSIGHTS 2005 will also offer entertaining general sessions such as the Sunday evening welcoming reception, a lively and lighthearted opening session the next morning, and an inspiring presentation later in the week by Kevin Carroll, the author of “Rules of the Red Rubber Ball: Find and Sustain Your Life's Work.” Carroll is a masterful storyteller who uses his remarkable skills and myriad of experiences to teach business leaders and audiences around the world how to use the spirit and lessons of play to enliven and enrich their work lives, enhance innovation, and improve team dynamics and interpersonal communication.
